Now that's what we call naked ambition

First Capital Connect drivers from Bedford show the world what they are made of
Drivers at Bedford have dared to bare all in a cheeky ‘Full Monty’ stunt to raise cash for a children’s charity.
Thirteen of the drivers, who work for First Capital Connect, stripped down to birthday suits and strategically placed balloons to give a taste of what to expect in the company’s first ‘Drivers in the Buff’ calendar.
They are hoping to raise £5,000 to buy a prosthetic leg for Joseph, a boy living in the Ahotokurom Rehabilitation Project area in Ghana.
The Railway Children charity, which works with many children across the world, will also benefit.
The 2008 calendar was launched at a photocall at Bedford station attended by three of the drivers featured in the calendar and FCC’s managing director, Elaine Holt.
• First Capital Connect’s Drivers in the Buff calendar follows in what’s fast becoming a railway tradition. In recent years female staff from Virgin Trains and Midland Mainline have also stripped off for ‘Calendar Girls’ charity stunts.
