New Heathrow station designed for speed of access
PASSENGERS arriving and departing at the new T5 terminal at Heathrow will be able to use the new underground station immediately under the station for their journeys.
The T5 Rail Station is located beneath the northern end of Terminal 5 and has been designed by architects HOK to ensure maximum ease and speed of transit for passengers arriving and departing from the terminal by rail.
Passengers alighting on to one of the station’s four platforms – two serving the Lon-don Underground Piccadilly Line and two serving Heath-row Express – will make their way to the departure level via dedicated passenger lifts.
Family and friends travelling to meet incoming airline passengers have the option to use the two escalators that link the station platforms and arrivals level.
