Crucial talks start between Southern and RMT
TALKS have started at ACAS between Govia Thameslink and the RMT over plans to extend DOO to most Southern Railway services.
The negotiations are taking place against a backdrop of determination on both sides. Southern has warned that an 'implementation' lump sum of £2000 for conductors who accept a new contract as on board supervisors may be withdrawn after midday.
The RMT has so far maintained implacable opposition to the proposals.
